English Blue Badge Guiding services

Hire a Blue Badge guide by the half day, day or evening to be your knowledgable assistant and companion both within London and for excursions out. If I can't do it, I know a guide who can.

See here for current Blue Badge guiding FEES.

En Francais

Demandez un guide pour une demi-journee, une journee entiere ou bien la soiree. Pour une connaissance superieure de Londres, ses musees, ses attractions et des points d'interet aux alentours, contactez-moi.

Tour Operators

I regularly work with leading in-bound tour operators doing panoramic tours of London and out-of-town excursions in both English and FRENCH.

Museums, galleries and attractions

I love museums. Let me take you on a highlights tour of the British Museum, the National Gallery, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral or the Tower of London in-depth.

Children and School Groups

I have worked with highschool groups for almost 20 years and have young children of my own. I know how to bring stories to life and make them relevant to young people.

I can meet you at the airport or your hotel and adapt our tour to your schedule, interests and energy.

Excursions out of town

I have strong personal connections with the enchanting cities of Oxford and Canterbury, or let me take you to the equally magnificent Windsor for Windsor Castle, Stratford upon Avon, Stonehenge or Bath.

Out and about in London

For a walking tour of 'the Square Mile' or of the 'West End' of London, a visit to the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Greenwich or St Paul's Cathedral, do get in touch.

20 years in travel and tourism

  • 1996

    Educational Tour Director

After growing up between London and Paris, studying political philosophy at university and fine art in Aix-en-Provence, in 1997 I found myself at the Paris office of EF Cultural Tours. This was the start of a 2-decade long collaboration, as an Educational Tour Director, taking large groups on tours of Europe, then in recent years setting up volunteering activities for US and Canadian high school students in London.

  • Leading several lives

I worked for 7 years as a guide for small exclusive groups on 3 week tours of Greece and Turkey. Ancient history and the near East are a passion of mine. I took groups on in-depth tours of France. With my partner I organised art projects with ex-homeless people, and with an American political fixer took billion dollar US fund managers to Downing Street, Whitehall, the City and Brussels. But all the while I have been leading another secret life as an artist and writer of stories. Watch this space.

    Becoming a Blue Badge Guide

I was lucky enough to be accepted onto this amazing course. With lectures on everything from history, art and architecture to the geology, fauna and flora of the British Isles. With wonderful companions to study with, this course was a joy. Twelve exams and a coveted Blue Badge later, I now do a job I adore.

  • Now over
    to you!

Too many to list but here are a few

"I can't thank you enough. You got it absolutely right for the group. What a star you are. I'm sure we will meet again." Ann (on her privately commissioned tour of the British Museum) January 2017

"Your enthusiasm for the East India Museum and its personalities was deliciously infectious, and your European school parties must be a lot of fun: lucky participants!" Gordon Johnson (Deputy Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University 2002-2010)

"It seems we have known you for years, not just a few days. You could not have been any better to our group, thank you so much.." R Parker (parent)

"It was a terrific day. I learned an enormous amount .. from the tour and running commentary, and have been inspired to follow up your leads..." A J Stockwell (Fellow and former President of the Royal Asiatic Society)

"You've been exemplary and professional, but most of all, you truly cared for us as though you lived the Golden Rule." (Larry and Deborah)
